Yeah, I read it.  More conjuring in the wizards' council.  It was going to
happen anyway, true enough.  But I was not in those meetings, nor did I read
anything about the conjuring.  Thus, for me it would have been a
blind-siding had I pinned my future direction on MySQL.  I know it is a fine
solution, and its price beats SQL Server and Oracle all to hell (not to
mention its kick ass performance).  But, fair is fair, and I did not feel I
could use the app for free and be fair to AB in doing so.  That is my Kinder
& Gentler side.  I also did not want to take any chances on getting nailed,
or getting any clients nailed, for using the MySQL DB commercially under
what could have (easily) been construed as eligible for remuneration (that
is my "prefensive" side).
