"Also, a 44-year-old man was found shot dead in West Oak Lane. Police said Tyrone Miller was shot several times at 69th Street and Limekiln Pike. Miller was shot in the head and face. Family members said he was cleaning up from a graduation party. "If you needed help he'd help you. He didn't bother no one. I don't understand why someone would kill him," Sabrina Dillard, Miller's cousin, said. One resident said she didn't know why anyone would shoot him. "He didn't bother anybody," she said. "He stayed in church. All he knew was church." Miller's killer is still out there." This was my friend's younger brother. I've never met him, but he apparently was mildly retarded due to a childhood illness and lived with his Mother his whole life. He attended church religiously. Although it doesn't say in the article, police suspect it was a gang initiation killing by a local Mexican gang who chose a victim at random. Tyrone received a call after a party from the caterers that they had a lot of food left over that they were going to throw out if someone from the family didn't come back to pick it up. So Tyrone went back to pick up the food and was shot three times. When they went through his belongings, at home, apparently he was sending part of his meager paycheck to a church charity to sponsor four children in Africa.
