Heya Guys.

Well there's been some flak about this new help file, and the fact that
the links are not visible, and the PEM thingies are busted . See
http://www.foxite.com/archives/0000169883.htm for some scant info.

I even asked the MS Download Center to remove the file from their download
set, as apparently the file didn't get rigorously tested on PRIOR
Operating Systems (like W2K or XP Pro).

So, if you HAVE Vista, you can apparently muck about with the file
properties, and select 'unblock' - then SOME of the linkage comes back.

If you have W2K and XP, there's not any fix available, as there is no
'unblock' feature in these 2 OS's.

The email I got from Milind Lele was quite sad, it referenced this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902225
which doesn't work in my test lab across 7 machines - I don't have em
patched, and won't patch em up, or change the OS, just to get an 'unblock'
feature 'enabled'.

A phone call into MS to speak with YAG - he tells me that I should use
Craig Berntson's fix over at
http://www.craigberntson.com/blog/2008/04/new-vfp-help-file-available.asp

but that doesn't apply, my OS doesn't have any 'unblock' feature.

I'm convinced the 'usage' wasn't tested on W2K or XP Pro, and wait a mo -
isn't VFP stuff supposed to be backwards compatible?

I'm not b|tching just to b|tch, but in the same breath - any one running
W2K get this to work ? I'm mostly perturbed that this is the 2nd thing
released from MS thats VFP centric that's been broken. It's 2 for 2 now.

Mondo Regards [Bill]
