Kris, I'm not in a position to contract work out yet, but if I were, I'm sure you'd be a great candidate.
We are in similar positions in that we're into marketing. My plan is for selling products, which is as I've described. For marketing contract services, I think it's all about contacts, and making your availability known here is a good step. The rest of it is working your contacts, which of course involves the telephone. If you have a headset and a database of contacts/prospects, and you work it systematically, you'll get what you want/need. You can load your database from google searches on keywords specific to the type of projects you have working knowledge of. I think you've got your resume and list of projects you've completed online, and that really helps for show and tell. I think it's obvious that the community has seen some 'fox flight' as the herd ran off for what they believe are greener pastures, but there are a lot of existing projects out there that still need care and feeding. Since those that ran off wouldn't come back (it's a mental thing), the availability of skilled Fox developer's is dwindling, which bodes well for skilled people looking for work.
