Not so much, Michael, the party old guard marginialized him for the reasons 
listed in the article and the field was to large for this basically unknown to 
get a real hearing.  I'm not sure he'd be the best guy for the job, but when I 
look over the current field, he looks a whole lot better than he did a few 
months ago.

Party bosses have a little too much to say about these things.  Here in VA, 
both the AG and the LG were running hard for the Gov position due in 2009.  
About two weeks ago we got a letter signed by all the party 'leaders' endorsing 
one for Gov and the other for LG.  Story over before the people had their say.

All the way around there is toooo much control from the top.  This is why Hilly 
& Barry are driving the bosses crazy on the other side.
