I think the throne could be a stump, it is possibly a metaphor for death. It
is sometimes called the final judgment throne. At any rate, I reckon we'll
find out by-and-by.

Hi John!

The "enlightened" opinion of Revelations is that John wrote the book in code

to get past the prison censors. The code to Revelations has been lost 
although the book itself survives. Thus, the Revelations book is especially 
subject to opinion and speculation about what it REALLY means.

I think "great white throne" is a nice turn of phrase, but when we get there

the throne might well be gold, or Our Lord might be seated on an Aeron chair

for all we know.
