But - it depends.

You can get a converter box that will intercept yer vga signals into
signals for tv-out via s-video connection. Next time you get into the big
city, scope out the local big 'lectronics store, talk with one of the
staff..

Or - you could get more tech savvy and use a video card with s-video out,
and have a tv that handles s-video out.

there's also some tv tuner cards avail for cheap on ebay that have 'other'
viewing capabilities besides a 'tv signal' , so you can load up a dvd in
the computer, use the I/R remote control.  I have one of these things, is
not a happauge, but some spin off ... It's in one of the OLD computers,
and I have the video output piping into a projection tv setup, with the
sound piping through some digital receiver thingie and then a bunch o
speakers.   But it's a hardware hack.    Not sure if the Amish would be
using it.
