I could have *swore* that I had my AU setting set to give me full control of when the updates get installed. I woke up today to find my PC had rebooted overnight, and the kind "Your computer has been updated" message from M$ in the bottom right corner systray pop-up. So I go to the AU settings for the computer and guess what....NO OPTION is selected...almost like M$ saying "what, I didn't see/do anything." I wouldn't really mind so much but I had programs open last night--including VFP--that I didn't want closed! I'm not sure if I had code windows with unsaved changes there or not...I think I did, and some Inno scripts as well. Dammit!!! I'm pretty darn sure that M$ did the update REGARDLESS of my setting preference to let me choose when to install.
