All of this is dynamic in its visual presentation but it has 6 lines of text that all convey part of the story on why it needs the next step in our process. It will only be available in our intranet so I can't present outward. In the next project I will be doing more with either Silverlight or WPF depending on what decision is made up totem pole from me. The functionality of dealing with the display is very consistent between the two, so we should be able to swap back and forth as needed. This is a MAJOR project to pull out over a hundred specialized apps know as tools in house over into a new centralized environment. When we got into bed with a major ERP vendor the mgmt realized how inferior our business actions were. We are a .COM that could handle everything but it's internal systems are worthy of the stress they receive. Case in pint we are just getting our head around the fact that an individual places an order to us but the company they work for needs it's own set of rules to be followed. Our tools still don't have the capacity to generate a corporate statement to identify all of the activity by users across the various divisions they own. Think of a major company that makes Media, Medical Devices, Aircraft parts, and a huge slew of other divisions they they have bought over time. That is one of our 4 base customer types. The current tools are more designed for the individual who can submit an invoice they have for their own card or use a company card for an every once in a while order. From that mentality we have a few pencil pushers who tie all of this data together and MAKE the statement bills for our big cheese customers. We have plenty of big cheese customers as well as tons of small tiny consulting firms that do a training manual every once in a while. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer Mimeo.com Memphis TN 901.246-0159 --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
