In which case you use different delimiters for the comments. :-) But,
if you change it to "&&->" or something to that effect, it should
still work, as long as you include the arrow in your regexp. Failing
that, use whatever delimiters you want: they get stripped out before
going to the back end anyway. You just lose Intellisense, but the
readability factor is a powerful one.
