Markups on accessories and cables are the way that a lot of the BigBox
stores make a profit from their stereo and computer departments, from
what I hear. The $49 "printer pack" with cleaners and cable and paper
is 500% markup; consumers come in with knowledge of what the printers
cost online. Monster Cables are a particularly egregious perpetrator
of the "high-impedance, low-resistance, low-capacitance,
radio-frequency-shielded, gold-tipped" cable claims.

But this cable is beyond it all.
