Wow! Just got off the phone with somebody from the Internal Control Recovery group from American Express who said that due to the Patriot Act, they had to confirm my address (and possibly other account information) and if I didn't confirm the information within 24 hours, they'll cancel my card!!!
Has anyone ever heard of this????
