Volkswagen is working on a dual drive diesel/hybrid concept VW Golf,
(eg a VW Rabbit which in Europe is called a Golf). It sounds
interesting. BTW, below is an excerpt from DasAuto Magazine:

Excerpt:

Each year, the thorough, perfectionist folks at Kelley Blue Book look at
all automotive brands operating in the U.S. and name one --and only
one-- the best brand when it come to "Best projected resale value across
its entire line of vehicles." The brand bringing home Kelley Blue
Book's blue ribbon for 2008? Volkswagen.

Good news for all Volkswagen drivers, to be sure, but in addition to
that, Rabbit, Jetta, and Eos drivers got even more feathers to throw in
their caps. You know, if they're into rocking caps with feathers in
them, which is cool if they are.

That's because Rabbit, Jetta and Eos all earned spots in Kelley Blue
Book's top 10 rankings of its 2008 Best Resale Value Awards. That's
three Volkswagen models among the top 10 best-resale vehicles covering
all brands.

I did a Kelley Blue Book suggest retail price for my 2005 Jetta Wagon
TDI GLS purchased in December 2004, and came up with $21,660.00 for a
car with low mileage in excellent condition. Not bad, since I
originally paid $22,745.00 for the car which included a $575.00
destination charge. LOL
