if you want to get it into excel, why not get it to a dbf file first? take a look at systables and syscolumns in help file. thenmake a quickie one off with this...
odbc connect to db systables call, copy to table scan on output of systables pipe the table name into a syscolumns call, save the output to dbf endscan takes about 10 minutes or less to write.
