Dang, I knew I liked you for a reason.. He's an arrogant p????. I've worked with sbt from the 80's to the mid 90's when it diverged from vision point into the pro series and then accpac bought them out and basically killed it, and now sage owns it.
He wanted a link between his work order system and the SAGEPRO (originally sbt) system and so I developed it for him over a period of about 40 hours and I made a comment that I had found a datadictionary (didn't exist in the vision point series) that would give them a better insight into the links between the systems as the documentation that came on the docsondisk folder were outdated in some instances.. He finally replied the other day and said, "I pay for expertise. I don't pay for learning on my time" As you can tell, he's new to the software business and I have a feeling he's going to lose his shirt as he took the word of a 20 year old college student over 20 + years working with accounting systems of all types when she says I don't know what I'm doing And I bet she wouldn't know the difference between a credit and a debit as to how it affected an asset or a liability and she's probably never even heard of a T account. I've only developed similar links for Ziff Davis Institute in Cambridge, Petro Data in San Antonio, Several ComputerLand Franchises and many others.. Oh well....Sick em mike...!!! Just kidding....not yet...maybe soon. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael Madigan Sent: Friday, July 11, 2008 11:51 PM To: ProFox Email List Subject: Re: [NF] Retainer Billing I'd put him into collections first. One of my customers is a collections agency, so if you're interested i'll set you up. 35% fee if he collects, nothing if he doesn't collect. If that doesn't work, then I would pay someone to break his legs. --- On Fri, 7/11/08, Kenneth Kixmoeller/fh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: Kenneth Kixmoeller/fh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: [NF] Retainer Billing > To: "ProFox Email List" <[email protected]> > Date: Friday, July 11, 2008, 6:43 PM > On Jul 11, 2008, at 4:59 PM, Virgil Bierschwale wrote: > > > I'm pretty sure I will get a judgement, but > probably never collect the > > funds. > > If you have a bank account number (from a check, for example), for a > small fee you can send a county sheriff over to collect.
