I know how to put the OLEwinsock control on a form and access it from the form.
I would like to write a function utilizing Winsock that can be called from
anywhere without needing to make sure the control is included on a form.

Is there a way to do this with the Active X control included with VFP or do I
need to do API calls if I don't want to be tied to a form?

TIA - Joe
