Just a quick thought... Another idea to help bring about resolution, Richard, is to create a public (private might work too) variable in the areas where you know the delete is legit and in your trigger, check for the existence of that variable...then if its vartype check fails, you know that's coming from a "rogue" area. Don't forget to clean up your variables afterwards.
