Actually not really.
My code offers you the possibility to react to each section, where yours
only gives the 1st node.
For exactly matching your example:
cValue = STREXTRACT(cXML, [<section id="production.shipping">],
[</section>],1,1)
cValue will be empty if the xml node doesn't exist or actually is empty.
