I'm not worried about code pink folks, but I do wonder where we stand on the DEFCON readiness scale of 1 to 5, where DEFCOM 5 is peace and DEFCON 1 is full-blown nuclear war. The last thing I want to see is this situation escalating. If Putin is calling the shots, he will try to force Georgia back into the fold by deposing Saakashvili or driving him into exile. Saakashvili will be replace by a Putin puppet. Putin already has a strangle hold on Georgia. He has capture Gori, a central city of Georgia, where he can control the movement of most commerce within the country. He also won control over the major seaports of Georgia, which are used to move commerce and people in and out of the country. If the Russian invasion becomes an occupation, then the fighting might go underground. It is important that the USA, NATO, UN and all other freedom loving people remain united against oppression that might be facing Georgia.
