I have been noticing that when I search for something I can't find it
and have to wade through 28 pages of unrelated crap. The other day I
was trying to get a serial port to work in Linux and after about 20
pages of search I gave up.

Here is an example. In the year 2000 I was in the San Diego airport and
was literally knocked over by a little girl that was yelling at her
parents and I noticed was one of the leading gymnasts on the 2000
Olympic team. I couldn't remember her name so I googled:

"who was on the 2000 women's olympic gymnastic team"

Forget about it. Alltheweb.com and Ask.com, same thing.

I modified the search to give me the names and a few other things, but
no success.

My observation is that for some things search has become completely
worthless because of the business model.

Well, I can give you the names of the Canadian women's team and tell you
that China won the bronze medal and that CAN Business solutions has a
$154 cable that has something to do with serial ports.

Oh well.
