 From what I've seen, OOo is the best suite to work with all kinds of 
formats. I've used it exclusively for the past 5 or so years. I've even had 
folks send me one version of Word so I could convert it to a different 
version of Word (thankfully I don't have to do that any more, those folks 
are now on the OOo bandwagon).
