The Bush Administration is trying to neutralize Obama's advantage in the issue regarding withdrawal of troops from Iraq, as Condi Rice is negotiating a deal with Iraq to withdraw troops along the same time line favored by Obama. The American people overwhelmingly support ending involvement with Iraq, which played strongly into Obama's hands, but if Condi Rice is successful in brokering a deal for troop withdrawal from Iraq, the issue may become irrelevant before election time.
