Palin is certainly qualified for office, at least as qualified as several
past presidents were when they got their start (Teddy Roosevelt comes to
mind); and in fact she has more years in elected office than Obama,
including being chief executive of an important state, with some very
impressive and specific accomplishments in that office.
Obama is not qualified at all (having exactly ZERO foreign policy experience
and ZERO executive experience), and has some very disturbing ties to some
very unsavory characters (Ayers and Rezko at the top of the list). Biden is
a serial plagiarist, a pompous ass ("I think I have a much higher IQ than
you do"), and a cronyist of the first water (just ask his Washington
lobbyist son, whose client MBNA got Biden to vote FOR the changes to federal
bankruptcy laws Obama himself opposed, while he was in their pay).
(Incidentally, like Lieberman, Biden also voted FOR the Iraq war; unlike
Lieberman, though, he voted to cut their funding while they were in harm's
way when the polls went south on the war.)
That's what the Democrats think of the office, and our troops.
BTW, I think McCain's life demonstrates an order of magnitude more love of
country and respect for the honor of the office than anything Obama has
done, and he, like Palin, have shown the ability to confront their own party
when they think it's wrong and work with members of the other party and
independents to make real change happen. All the Dems have to offer is
another round of one-party hegemony.
Lieberman's testimony yesterday was quite powerful on this matter. It's hard
to image---the guy was their VP pick just 2 elections ago, and other than
the Iraq war has an unassailable liberal pedigree.
The Dems have so jumped off the cliff politically with sleazebags like
Michael Moore that even a liberal icon like Joe has become an exile, and
gives his full-throated support to a Republican, specifically John McCain.
Only a moron could possibly believe McCain is some kind of Bush clone. If
the Dems want to run against Bush they're going to get their pants kicked
in. I for one hope they keep it up.
