I'm noticing that some motherboards coming out now have a HDMI port with
built in video that will play true 1080P, so some of the newer notebooks
probably have HDMI. It's enough to tempt me to upgrade the motherboard
in my desktop system, and hook a HDTV to it. Then I could watch TV,
play movies, or do work, all on my desktop computer in the home office.

I'm running Fedora 8 on my desktop, so I can play all the movies I
download for my PS3 to my desktop using media player with the advantage
I don't have to convert them to PS3 format, but I only have a 19"
monitor with maximum 1080 X 1024 resolution over a DVI cable, so I
really lose something there.
