I have had great luck buying directly from Crucial.com, pny and Kingston. Usually I end up getting their manufacturing code, then check pricing against TigerDriect.com and Buy.com. I even check for special deals from BestBuy.com, Staples.com and OfficeDepot.com. Once in a while I get a great deal and wind up with the same product.
