I'm more concerned about left-wing Christmas tree ornaments, like the following hum-dinger (brace yourself): 20% of the "debt reduction" portion of the bailout sale proceeds go, in one version of the "agreement", to fund ACORN.
That is, 20% of the total amount of the repayment of the loans or sale of bad debt that would be earmarked for debt reduction was to be double-tithed to a left wing activist group. Huh? Yes, the very same ACORN that is legendary for motor-voter fraud, and "community organizing" after the manner of Saul Alinsky, for whom Obama once worked! Hopefully that got cut from the final deal, because they have precisely JACK DIDDLEY to do with keeping the banks solvent. I'll be very disappointed if that's still in there and McCain/Palin don't come out in full-throated opposition to the bailout package. We basically are in a situation where the creators of this problem have a gun to our head and are telling us corporate socialism is the only answer to prevent a disaster. If this is the case, the disaster has already happened and all their heads should roll, whatever the pain. - Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Pete Theisen > Sent: Sunday, September 28, 2008 11:59 AM > To: ProFox Email List > Subject: [OT] Bailout Agreement > > Hi Everybody! > > http://www.forbes.com/2008/09/26/bailout-congress-bush-biz-beltway- > cx_bw_0926bailout2.html > > or > > http://tinyurl.com/3rj6wz > Can't tell if they got out the no court review language or not. > -- > Regards, > > Pete > http://pete-theisen.com/ > > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
