Have you checked the virtual memory size on the server? Right click on the
my computer icon > Properties> Advanced > performance > settings > advanced
. Maybe cranking that up will help... my W2K3 server runs at 6141 MB as the
total paging size.

Thanks,
Dave

Subject: VFP9-SP1-Error 43

I don't if this is coincidence, but we installed Server 2003 with a client 2
days ago Simple file server There are now 2 workstations that are frequently
reporting Error 43, There is not enough memory to complete the operation The
help file says I should "Free some memory currently in use and try this
operation again"

1 Why has this happened
2 How do you "Free some memory" on the fly?

I've had this message periodically at other times, especially if people were
(also) still running old Dos systems.
My quick answer was generally, "Reboot my friend". (It was a very good way
to "Free some memory")

However, on this occasion they've already done this several times and still
it keeps popping up

Help please
