You probably want to check your switch has Gigabit ports first. It's definitely worth it for servers. Remember the problem I had a week ago with Windows 2008 backup? I hadn't put the new backup procedure in place so temporarily backed up the files over the network. It was *faster* than reading from the local hard drive. I had forgotten the 2 servers shared a gigabyte connection. So it's going to stay that way. -- Paul _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
