Hi Everybody! Seems to me that McCain proposed directly relieving homeowners in the debate. My understanding of the just passed relief package is that it was to bail out the mortgage holders, rich guys, leaving the homeowners to still lose their homes to foreclosure - a double dip for the richies.
The president, Bush, McCain or Obama could use that money in the package to directly relieve the homeowners, although he might need to sign an executive order to do it. Bush should do it, now. These guys seem to be discussing whether or not the law already requires it. My take is that the law was written to save the market, not the people. But the president can change it. Should change it. http://www.californiaprogressreport.com/2008/10/hold_the_presse_3.html -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
