Pete,

Don't think their favoring it by any means as they still consider DSL a
valuable tool. DSL is still their only product in many areas until FIOS
becomes available.

But consider that when FIOS goes in, Internet usage goes up. It may be
that their connection from the local office is starting to get congested.

FWIW, I've had FIOS for about 3 years now. At first, I would have regular
mail outages. My guess is that they were ramping up the mail servers.

Now it has settled down, but I still see occasional outages on my e-mails.
I think you'll see that yet for a few more years until they build up the
FIOS network.

BTW, if it does come into your area, get it<g>

Jim.

Subject: [NF] Verizon favoring FIOS over DSL?

Hi Everybody!

I have copper DSL. Ever since FIOS came out my service has been spotty,
much like cable used to be. Slow during certain "peak" times. Does
anyone know if Verizon is favoring FIOS over DSL?
