- - - The evidence overwhelms the dispassionate observer that semi-retired terrorist Bill Ayers played a major role in the writing of Barack Obama's memoir, "Dreams From My Father." For those unpersuaded by authorship studies, timelines, parallel themes, matching metaphors, Ayers' role as neighborhood editor, or Obama's overnight transformation from struggling hack to literary superstar, allow me to introduce another variable: Obama's conspicuous channeling of the thoughts and experiences of Bill Ayers into his own presumed autobiography. - - - Jack Cashill has done a yeoman's job studying Barack Obama's & Ayers' books, and has built a powerful case for, at a minimum, very deep involvement of Bill Ayers in Obama's literary exploits. If this is true--and I know, nothing short of an admission by The One himself will convince any of his followers (and I use that word fully intending its religious connotations), and even if he did, they'd poo-poo it--then the significance of their relationship goes well beyond anything even I thought possible. Obama mentions Conrad's Heart of Darkness in his autobiography, by way of describing his quest to understand white racism via literature. I think another Conrad work illuminates his relationship with Bill Ayers: namely, the Secret Sharer. Barack is Bill's doppelganger. - Bob _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
