No, these are Cubans and Russians who immigrated legally and became naturalized American citizens because they know what freedom is, and how easily it's lost. Now they see it happening here. > > Does that mean that in two years time the Rs will attempt a coup and > fail, and then the man will plebiscite his stay in power and win by a > landslide again? I hope not. Hopefully we'll still have free elections and be able to vote them out the old fashioned way. But I do worry about that in ways I never worried about it before. > > Of course the Rs performance in govt over the last 8 years has nothing > to do with the matter. > Republicans got their asses handed to them in 2006 for their hypocritical screw-ups and lack of principal. Bush has been rejected by his own party and the people who used to believe in him, and is the loneliest man on earth right now. I think some of the criticism is fair, and some of it is quite unfair. That's not the issue. The issue now is what really caused the current meltdown? It was not George Bush, who was raising red flags about the soundness of financial giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac back in 2001 and 2003. It was predatory lending practices encouraged by the Community Reinvestment Act of 1992, and gone wild after attempts--by REPUBLICANS--to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were successfully blocked in 2005 by the very Democrats who today stand to be handsomely rewarded for their idiotic resistance to fix the problem before it got out of hand and became a cancer to our economy. Most people don't understand the issues at all. They just think "Bush is Republican; this happened while a Republican is President; therefore I must vote Democrat". They also don't think anything really evil can happen here, and are ignoring all the warning signs and red flags of this campaign. > This is a chilling development that really ought to > terrify > > every American. > > Told ya he was getting desperate. My soul is deeply troubled by what's happening. I know the facts and the arguments are on my side, and I know they matter not a whit to the vast majority of folks who have been seduced by Obama's rhetoric into believing the myth about him. History is replete with tyranny rising just like this. I guess it's America's turn, but somehow I know, despite the trouble in my soul, that this will end up for the good. I just wish this cup could pass us by, is all. > > Maybe you should murder Obama like it was done before in the 60's? > Now you grow up. - Bob _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
