We will be designing the screens for the data entry. We are looking to
collect:
Employee Number, Pan working on (Pick list based on employee) and Qty
made. (Time performed using the job also shown.) These will default to
system specific parameters based on employee selected. This means that
after picking an employee, we should be able to quickly process through
them as they basically will be doing only one or two things in a day. So
by picking the employee and the appropriate pan, the qty and time will
fill with defaults. Normally the user would not need do anything but
confirm this. In a normal design, I would use combo boxes to pick
employee, filter the pan on this number and then select a pan via a combo
box as well. The other two would be text fields with data entry.

This is the base information to be collected. I was wondering on the best
way to implement this via a touch screen.

i.e. what kind of controls work with big fingers etc?

Mike
