I don't know, 50 million people, including women, freed from the yoke of 
tyranny and given the right to vote in free elections long denied by dictators 
and terrorists--I think that's a good achievement even if it didn't pan out for 
our narrowly national interest or political benefit.

And let's not poo poo the fact that there has been no terrorist act on our soil 
since 9/11. 

Or the fact that despite the financial collapse of the last few months -- whose 
causes are by no means easily explained by blaming George Bush, because lots of 
Democrats have their paw prints on the banking bubble , too--unemployment and 
inflation are historically low. But whatever.

Yesterday was not a night for facts. For some reason folks like Ed feel a need 
to be outrageously unkind. God bless them.

Well, congratulations to Obama and his supporters. I'll pray for you, and the 
country.

We're all going to need it. Now you get to enjoy the curse of getting what you 
asked for and inflicting it on all of us. :)
