My first ex-husband, the one I married at 17, is currently a day trader working from his house. He says he's making money at it, but not as much as in real estate. The market is dead where he lives, though, so he turned to shorting stocks to keep the bills paid. There are people making money on trading, but I don't really see it as a stable career path... Then again, who am I to talk? I have had plenty of ups and downs over the last few years.
