I'm not surprised Once Care got the boot. I was involved with the prerelease testing and even back then there were many, many of us who tried to let them know One Care was not ready for release. It was slow, intrusive and didn't work well with other MS products like Media Center. It's nice to see them considering releasing a free AV solution; we'll see how it stacks up against AVG. Hopefully they will remember the concept of consumer choice and not ship it preinstalled with Windows 7. It would also be nice if they managed to not pollute it with advertising as they have with Messenger. We'll see.

Their current offerings are very resource-hungry compared to some of the independent vendors like Sophos. -- Alan Bourke [EMAIL PROTECTED] [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
