The first point is true. Stock prices look to the future from the present. The second point is not true. The stock markets are reacting to uncertainty, not so much to the presidential election in particular. I believe we can expect the stock markets to act like yo-yo's for the next 6-12 months. There's not enough liquidity in the country's capital markets for the stock market to be predicted, and I believe the reactions we see are to the issue of whether liquidity will be injected thoughtfully or with a sledgehammer.
