The people most likely to be needing rescue in the future is Americans. You've allowed a President to cheat his way into office; allowed him to break the law and spy on you and then retrospectively changed the law; allowed torture and incarceration without trial. You've allowed acts of congress that take away your freedoms all to give you a little safety. You claim to be the 'light on the hill' and then have Guantanamo and slavery. As a nation you have much to be proud of and much to be ashamed of. Trouble is, that lately only the latter seems to apply. The world hopes that Obama might bring back some of the freedoms, human rights and democracy you weren't once known for - but are no longer.
