Thank you Dave, Andrew & Tracy for your continued responses. As is typical - I'm not really allowed much time to explore many options with what I do - as they tend to be small modifications to clients systems and need to be done quickly. I approached my boss and told him it pretty much needed to be changed to a ListBox - which really changed how the data browsing would look, and it would require a bit of rebuilding to the screens - so he had suggested I not proceed in that direction.
However, to stick with a Grid and do limited changes - that may work! So, I very much appreciate the suggestions. Will see what I can do to explore the options that you folks presented to me. Kurt, Look on my website: www.replacement-Software.co.uk/vfp/VFP_Rubber_Band_Grid.zip It does the same thing as you want but using the mouse to rubber band a selection. You could easily change it to use the keyboard. One of our clients have complained that our Browse screens for selection of data does not act like Standard MS interface designs. In particular, being able to select one line of data - then scrolling down and clicking on another line of data while holding down the Shift key - to select a range of records. Was curious to know if there is any kind of relatively easy solution to doing something like this in VFP?!?
