I use rsync (free, open source) to back up my files on my server in Los Angeles 
to my 
laptop in Hollister, and vice-versa. After the first time, keeping 60 GB in 
sync on a 
daily basis takes no time at all.

California would have to get blown to smithereens, or an unlikely coincidence 
would 
have to occur, for me to lose my data.
