I had the same problem. Worst thing is I couldn't fix it. In the end I just
used VNC because it works - all the time. Remote Desktop is really good
until is stops working and you have no idea what to do or how to fix it. And
the available info on the net eventually boils down to "RD is flaky
software"/

I've just set up remote desktop on a client's new computer.  Every time I
connect, I get the login screen.  After logging in successfully, the screen
get's about half-way loaded and freezes.

There are several ideas on google about what it could be, but has anyone
seen this before?
