What does Clinton have to do with what Obama is proposing? Clinton became
the best deficit-cutting Republican ever to hold the office after the
Republicans took control of Congress and drove the spending agenda for the
last 6 of his 8 years. He declared the era of big government over, and at
least cooked the books well enough that it looked for a season like we had a
surplus, whereas the Messiah is calling Big Government up out of its grave
like some kind of evil Lazarus, along with an army of hundreds of thousands
of new orcs and zombies for whom he plans to create government jobs.

Bush had the inverse--Dems have controlled Congress only 2 of his 8, and in
the last two years they've run the show, we've gone from 4% unemployment to
7.5% unemployment, we've seen the colossal failure of big-government
interventionism in the real estate industry (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are
Dem inventions, and the laws that got them and the industry to give bad
loans were Carter and Clinton concoctions, which the Dems defended every
time Bush actually tried to prevent the disaster), experienced the first
painful spasm of our federally mandated dependency on foreign oil, and --
yes, with Bush's blessing, a pox be upon his name -- the most enormous
expansion of government ownership of the economy, well, ever. The last 2
years have been a Dem paradise---government manufactured crisis, private
sector collapse and a glorious march to socialism. Woo hoo! That's been the
plan ever since FDR.

Did you not hear his address, in which he promised multi-TRILLION DOLLAR
ANNUAL DEFICITS for "years to come"? In which he declared only government
could spend enough to create a recovery--that the root of our problem was an
inability or unwillingness to SPEND MONEY AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL?

What planet has he been on? Anyway.

There is nothing Clintonesque about his Bush-on-steroids focus on exploding
the size of government, deficits be damned, other than the ex-Clinton figure
heads who he put like cardboard cutouts in his cabinet.

Point of fact: He was not kicked out of office. There were better reasons to
kick him out of office than the Lewinsky thing, however badly it reflected
on his character (transfer of tech to the Chinese and stunning disregard for
campaign finance laws being the main ones, IMHO). But he served out his
term. Just thought you'd like to know.

And do keep up with your great attention to detail and facts. :)
