I'm at home right now and don't know the table sizes (tell you
tomorrow), in our SQLServer server the process takes about 7 seconds I
think (though it will vary depending on load on the server and how good
a server you have). I'll get the proper figures tomorrow.
Good thing about queries is I've got the whole user input (of filter
variables) and program output automatized. All I have to do is write the
queries (right now in SQLServer, Progress and Acces) and, if  I need to,
combine the resulting cursor in a vfp query, and voilá! I got a report
to go. This one took about a day because I had to think a way to
accomplish what I had to do (and test it) and when it was finished it
had ODBC trouble and I had to rework it. But they usually take little
time and are easier to maintain than a regular program.

BTW, remember I told you I had queries several pages long. Some people
wouldn't believe me. I'll see if I can get one of those tomorrow too
(not sure if I may).
