I attribute the relative normalcy to having deep roots in DOS from as far
back as 1984, some periphery exposure to UNIX in 1987 - 1991 (including SCO
UNIX286), plenty of Windows exposure, fairly early GUI Linux
(Lindows/Linspire) and a touch of RHL (via Ed), and a full blown
indoctrination (trial by fire) into GUU Linux about 2 years ago. I took up
Mac very late in the game, December 1007. So I have not been blinded by it,
mostly because my ees were pretty well gouged out with all the then-recent
Vista debacle where my vision was virtually destroyed by viewing aero
display on almost compatible machines.

Seriously, I like the Mac environment, but my own reality is I am stuck in a
World of Windows as long as I remain working with auto dealers for my target
market. I do not ever see moving my clients to Linux or Mac, simply because
all auto manufacturers' communication processes are based on Windows
platforms. I do get to use Linux as nice file, web and database Servers for
far less $$$ than Windows Server. And Mac keeps family members out of
harm's way with malware and other threats without the presumed suffering of
moving to Linux GUI. For those who can't afford a Mac, I view Ubuntu as the
Poor Man's Mac, and my salvation when it comes to having to deal with
Windows based infections wherever I can get someone to move off Windows.

Hey, wait a minute... Who the hell says I am normal, anyway?!?
