< The idea he merely inherited the mess is a lie which only a total
ignoramus could believe. Maybe>

THAT STATEMENT alone renders the value of the rest of your post zero. Only
an ignoramus could claim that Obama didn't inherit the mess. It is one thing
to be partisan in politics; it is another thing to throw your integrity and
intelligence out the door at the same time!

The $9.7 trillion in pledges would be enough to send a $1,430 check to every
man, woman and child alive in the world. It's 13 times what the U.S. has
spent so far on wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to Congressional
Budget Office data, and is almost enough to pay off every home mortgage loan
in the U.S., calculated at $10.5 trillion by the Federal Reserve.

And the total tally of all US debt -- government and individual -- is $53
Trillion... soon to become almost $63 trillion. Get your head around that.
All of us should get our heads around that.

This is where do-gooder enterprises like "affordable housing" and
government-backed this or that and entitlement bills-of-rights and making
the world safe for democracy will get you, eventually: on the road to
bankruptcy.

Geithner's selection should speak volumes to the fraud that is Obama. This
guy presided over this disaster as chief regulator of the NY financial
district over the last 6 years (I thought Obama was going to stop the DC
game of musical chairs?), is a proven tax cheat (some wizard of smart he is,
can't even operate Turbo Tax... right), got obnoxious bonus/severance from
the Fed Reserve to take the Treasury job even as he and Obama railed against
bonuses for private sector executives, and now is the chief fox in charge of
the hen house.

All Obama cares about is maxing the giant credit card in the sky out to
fulfill political pledges to his partisan interest groups---one last big
bang of a payback that would wipe out half the Amazon rainforest if they had
to print the cash the old-fashioned way (I guess that's one way to reduce
CO2 emissions). I think he must know what he's doing is going to put the
last coffin nail in the public's finances, and indeed he wants that to
happen so he can make his actual agenda of tyranny palatable to the hoi
polloi.

Feel hope and change yet? You will soon enough. Well, the change part
anyway.

Hope is $10 trillion dollars further away than it was six months ago, and
Obama is as much a part of making that happen as any politician in DC who
voted for the bailouts and now supports this monstrous bill. The idea he
merely inherited the mess is a lie which only a total ignoramus could
believe. Maybe if he had been leading the last 4 years instead of running a
perpetual campaign, and maybe if he was against the bailouts on some kind of
principle, he'd have an argument, but no: he's just a pol, good for a
rousing speech or two, but totally corrupt like all the rest.

Sanity check: Has your finances ever been "stimulated" in a positive way by
racking up 20% more debt with the stroke of a pen--debt you know you didn't
have the means to repay in one, or two, or even three lifetimes of work?

If you answered "yes" then go take your meds, you're late.
