Very funny Bob!! Actually I agree with him. Any spirit of adulation that is
servile is risky but that statement is a little less over-the-top than yours
are. But by comparison with most other countries you traditionally treat
your presidents with an adulation we aussies find bemusing. Cant say we
really get that! Our PM is at best respected and approved of but adulation?
Not down under. Aussie cynicism can be an advantage sometimes!

Subject: [OT] Denver Archbishop Warns Against 'Spirit of Adulation'
Surrounding Obama

Toronto, Canada, Feb 23, 2009 / 09:03 pm (CNA).- Canadians packed St.
Basil's Church in Toronto on Monday evening to hear Archbishop Charles
Chaput speak about how Catholics should live out their faith in the public
square. He warned that in the U.S., Catholics need to act on their faith and
be on guard against "a spirit of adulation bordering on servility" that
exists towards the Obama administration.

Oh dear. Geoff, quickly, send Archbishop Chaput a sternly worded email
warning him that he's all alone, either A or B. Make sure he understands
that there is no C. Enumerate the 12 characteristics of a CT, it appears
he's not aware of them. Be sure to include a correct definition of worship
for his convenience.

- Bob
