Exactly. When I don't have time to catch up on twitter, I ignore it.

safely ignored.
I've found way more interesting stuff on twitter than I ever have on
any email list, this one included. And as most of you know, I'm a big
fan of letting people say what they want, and then selectively
ignoring the ones who either don't add substance or those who actively
destroy substance. For nearly two decades this practice has been
called a 'twit filter', and I find it interesting that a service named
'twitter' allows me to do just that: only follow those people who are
interesting to me.
