The best argument the libs had against Bush -- quite valid, I've always conceded -- is what a radical and reckless spendthrift Dubya was. I cannot fathom how, after his first month and a half in office, taking a gander at his policy initiatives and the folks with which he's surrounding himself, and the number of orders of magnitude beyond Bush's deficit numbers Obama is pushing the envelop, these same people look on Obama and see anything but Dubya cubed, in the "radical and reckless spendthrift" department. And he's spending it on things that have proven over the last two centuries to be completely unproductive (financially) and harmful of individual freedom (politically). But he even compares favorably to the worst caricature of Bush they painted as a swaggering, arrogant dolt, unable to speak without a teleprompter, or make an argument without a boogieman (in Obama's case, Limbaugh) or a straw man (Republicans, as Obama constantly paints them---whose votes he neither needs nor genuinely seeks). - Bob _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
