I don't know, but I doubt it. In the past, PHP didn't break backwards compatability within a major version. So, PHP4 could break compatibility with PHP3 (and PHP3 and PHP4 stay available separately on the webserver, to not screw existing sites). I haven't done PHP in years, but I don't buy the complaint. The software is free, I'm sure there was lots of warning, and you aren't required to use the new version. So stop bitching and do something productive instead. Antagonizing the developers is not productive.
