Hi Ed! There is no Dabo on Synaptic, and I included ALL the repositories in the search. I am not primarily a geek, and I have only one computer. Before I try to install this "by hand" I sort-of want to have at least some idea of how to do it. If something breaks I'm really screwed. I am running Mepis 7 with no winders anywhere on the machine. I determined last time, with Paul's help, that there is Python somewhere on the machine, although very well hidden. Can't find Python now. Mepis 7 is some flavor of Ubuntu, if I recall correctly. Is Synaptic the same as "any apt based system"?
